The last few weeks I have been busy building a new model.
A nice piece of beech is the foundation of this design.
After days of cutting, sanding and painting, the baits below is what I ended up with. I call this model "The Prowler".
Length is 13cm and it's weigth 65gr.
Since I don't build baits that long and use airbrush for a short time I focused on the finish. I kept the colour "Soft Candy" (blue/yellow) from my last model and painted 2 in the new colour "Parrot" (red/yellow).
These jerks have a gliding action and it´s weigth helps to give it a determined course. I hope you like them!

Yes I do make my own stencils for the gills and fins etc. I find that one of the hardest but important parts to create a nice finish. This is were you can make your baits look nice. If you want more detailed info on my way to make stencils, shoot me a pm.
I use a one component polyurethane for the clearcoat.
I first used envirotex, but besides the high price I thought it was terror to work with.
